English Placement Test
This English Placement Test assesses your proficiency based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The test consists of 100 Multiple choice questions, covering grammar, vocabulary, and language use. You will have one hour to complete the test. Upon finishing, your score will place you in one of the six CEFR levels, from beginner (A1) to proficient (C2).
CEFR Levels:
- A1 (Beginner): At this level, you understand and use simple expressions and phrases. You can introduce yourself and ask basic questions about familiar topics.
- A2 (Elementary):You can understand and use sentences related to everyday life, communicate in simple, routine tasks, and describe your background in basic terms.
- B1 (Intermediate): You can understand the main points of conversations on familiar topics, handle everyday situations while traveling, and produce simple connected text on familiar topics.
- B2 (Upper-Intermediate): You can understand complex texts, interact fluently with native speakers, and produce detailed text on a range of subjects, explaining your viewpoint on various topics.
- C1 (Advanced): At this level, you can understand demanding texts and recognize implicit meaning. You express ideas fluently and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
- C2 (Proficient): You demonstrate near-native fluency, easily understanding virtually everything read or heard. You can express ideas precisely and summarize information coherently from multiple sources.
